Alright, this is getting boring. I know we've all been tying this winter, but nobody talks about their flies or posts pics (except for a few). I want everybody, of all skill levels, to post their favorite/best trout fly. If you can't take pictures that you're happy with, then tell us about the fly. Thanks, but you really cant see it. I think i have dropped my camera too many times. Anyone have a good suggestion for one they like? However, according to Liam, you must post a fly to answer this question!

Really great flies Bob. The bodies on those streamers are really good, and those Cahills look deadly. I gave my dad a copy of Mike Valla's book, so I think I have to steal it away for a bit.

It's probably the best book I've ever read on dry flies, period. It really renewed my interest. I like that Ghost (I think thats what it is called?), Bob.
Yeah, it's a Black Ghost. It's one of the very few old feather winged streamers that you see fished much anymore. I think it fishes slightly better with a marabou wing, but it looks better with hackle wings and jungle cock (it still fishes ok that way.) Thanks for the kind words, guys. |
